I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and growing up in such a beautiful and artistically rich place nurtured my own love of art. I was obsessed with drawing as a young child and I went on to earn a Bachelors in Studio Art from the University of New Mexico. I am an emerging artist and I enjoy using my work to explore elements of nature nearly as much as I enjoy exploring the human condition. I especially love interrogating the flaws and accomplishments of our species and documenting the trajectory that we are on. I use acrylic paint, aerosol, digital software, and colored pencil primarily. I enjoy the challenge of painting realistically and intricately rendering subjects while also exploring themes such as beauty, place, and purpose. I am a very curious person and I am compelled to examine challenging questions in my life; I aim to convey this curiosity in my work. The reason I make work is to study humanity, to add art to the world, and to nurture people's curiosity - one piece at a time.
